How do you guys manage to get so many people while filming your movies? I mean, in episode 2, you've got like, eight elites runing around, plus a few spartans. It's crazy! Also, how long does it typically take you to film one episode? Me and my friends do alot of short movies, and our longest one so far, is around 3 and a half minutes, which took around 4 hours of filming, plus another 2 and a half, or 3, for editing... meh, maybe we're just slow?

We have a basic crew of 4 people, (Ryan, Meghan, Patrick and myself), who come over to my house every day between 5-7 to record footage, although we sometimes work considerably later than that. So far we have been able to handle all the shots with just us 4, (Ryan, Meghan and Patrick have become masters of controlling multiple people at once, I just act as camera-man usually), but we are planning to get more people for the big action scenes we are working on. As a matter of fact, we are working on a very large action scene right now, which should come into the series around episode 7 or 8. But, the quick and simple answer to your question: 3-4 people control all the characters you see, and it usually takes us a week to make an episode, sometimes somewhat longer if the episode is very complex. Episode 2 was re-worked at the last minute, and so we had to do in 2 days, but we don't like doing that ...

It's not too bad. The elite's movements were extremely simple, without any change of direction and firing. We had to do the same thing with my series. But you do have to get used to it.

Don't you worry, the complex battle scenes are coming ... We wouldn't want to show off everything we had up our sleeves just in the second episode, now would we?

That also explains why in those scenes in the trailer there were often three elites pictured, both when shooting plasma rifles and igniting swords. I guess we should be able to tell then when you guys get another person in on the "physical" acting part. Either that or those three will have gotten altogether way too good...

also, it would be easlier to sync things if the same person does it all (as long as its simple)

you should get other people to help, maybe do some XBL for the big scenes, but only with people you really trustinate (like me) so then...HOLY CRAP....sorry, then you could spend time doing better head movement (The heads don't move enough when talkng) So you could be super awsome...er

Yeah, we considered doing headbobs at first, but we decided against it for two reasons: first, it has become something of a trademark for RvB, and we did not want to associate ourselves with such a noticable factor; and second, we want this to seem more like a movie, and people don't bob their heads in movies. Most of the time, our shot composition shows who is speaking, and in the rare instances where it does not, we do headbobs, like in the "That's where Green Team is stationed!" line in episode 1. And as for the big battles, we do get larger groups together for those. Thank you for your input!
