Strangely enough, looking at page requests reveals that while most people voted for WMV, Quicktime is the most downloaded.

I prefer both Quicktime and Windows Media Player. It just depends on which has more megabytes to download.

I prefer WMV, but quicktime works well too.

WMV, because quicktime can't take snapshots or go on WMM

WMV is the worst codec ever made. You see, there were 12 companies that developed the MPEG format. Now what Microsoft did, was that they stole the code, and altered it so it would only work with MS Media Player. And while they were on it, they altered some more wierd stuff so it got a useless performance. And there you have it, WMV. They even claim it's 30% better than MPEG -.-

Quicktime is much better, it works on almost every OS, WMV doesn't.
The only reason I can see that people prefer WMV is that it comes free with windows. And they can only export WMV with Windows Movie Maker... what kind of BS is that?!

Well, that might be because 2,3, and 4 releases of the qt versions were before the WMV and the Divx versions. And no one bothered to get the WMV or the Divx version when you released those later.

I prefer Quicktime. I don't know if it's just the "cleaner" interface, or a few (or more than a few) bad experiences with WMP. I also like QTs ability to go frame-by-frame. Anyway, it's just more reliable for me.

I don't really use DivX to often, so I can't say much about it.

I don't know why this happens but on two occasions (ep. 3 and ep.6) when i downloaded them (in quicktime cause its small) and try to play them it reads; "Could not open codexep6 because it is a file type that quicktime does not understand." Anyone know why?

Try downloading them again, it might have gotten corrupted somewhere.

Microsoft steals everyone else's ideas and they usually pretty much ruin it.

just a question: how come when i visit some other sites , quicktime is smaller than wmv. but here and like at rvb wmv is smaller than quicktime. Is it because they are using a bad converting program or something?

For some episodes it is different, it all depends. As for the bad conversion thing, I can't answer you

you can choose how much you want to compress both wmv and quicktime, so it's different everywhere depending on how the creators want the quality to be like.

You see that episodes 3, 4,5 and 6 all is smaller in QT than the two others.

Yes they look the same, but the compressing system is built in different ways, so it could be small differences that we can't see.
