I haven't gotten a good night's sleep in about two weeks. As a result, my immune system has been shot to hell and I've been sick for a week and a half. This is terrible.

Ask me why I keep on loving you when it's clear that you don't feel the same way for me... the problem is that as much as I can't force you to love me, I can't force myself to stop loving you.

Well that sucks. I was having that problem a little while ago too. I just took a bunch of medication and I felt better after a while. So, my suggestion is to load up on as much medication as possible! Dr. Trumpetman M.D.

Got this in the mail today, so I'm stoked . It's actually made pretty well. Decently sharp (especially the point), and just feels good.

Two questions:

1. Where did you get it?
2. Can I have 10?

That is freaking awesome! I remember about a year ago I was going to buy a replica of Trunk's sword from DBZ.

well, im pissed. computer keeps shutting off randomly, but seems to happen more when I'm trying to play a game.

started a few days ago with update of directx....

so I reinstalled windows, THEN did a bunch of driver/graphic card/other such things updates.

Hasn't shut down yet, but the only thing Ive re-installed game-wise is skyrim.

I thought at first it was simply overheating or I had a hardware malfunction, so I took the side panel off and looked around. nothing looks out of working order, and nothing smelt burnt. So I took a can of air-duster to the thing, thinking maybe it had sucked some dust into the fans/cpu or such.
Also installed Norton and ran and full comp scan, that came back clean.

It still shut off again later. So thats when I reinstalled windows.

If it does it again, I'm calling the company's customer support and giving them an earful. I payed $1200 for this rig, and after 3-4 months its starting to crap out?

I had a crappy $300 Dell that I'd put a $200 graphics card in that had lasted me 4 years, and I never had one single problem out of. matter of fact, I sold it to a friend, and hes STILL using it to play WoW with.

If it does turn out to be the manufacturers fault, I'm asking for my money back.

Got it off Ebay for $36.75 (had free shipping).

And I hate that :/ My computer was doing that a while ago. I think it was because of a graphics driver (kept freezing and then just rebooting the computer when I was in certain games).

check the power supply, make sure the case is properly grounded, etc...

take temp readings if you haven't already.

already have.

also installed a later version of the directx driver than the latest update. played skyrim for about 20 mins with no problems. about to actually sit down and give it a good long test.... especially since I lost my save game data when I re-installed windows.

When I got a beefy graphics card, I didn't realize that my power supply couldn't handle it. Because of that, it would turn off and restart when I played any modern games that required a lot of the graphics card (it would crash when I tried playing Fallout 3, but when I played an older game (Dawn of War), it didn't crash)

Should check how much power your graphics card requires, and see if power supply can handle it. Maybe something got switched around when it was built.

it's pretty much impossible to wire something wrong but he said he checked the PS so I trust that. Shouldn't be the issue.

Planning on a new computer build soon, current one can't handle BF3 and my laptop is also coming up to 3 years old.

Got my early access to SWTOR today.

Played for about 15 mins before my comp randomly shut off yet again.

I'm at my wits end. It's not the power supply. I know, because I put one a bit bigger than I needed in, so I wouldnt have to upgrade it in the future when I stuck more RAM and another graphics card in.

Its got to be a hardware problem, I've decided, because reset, restored, then down and upgraded everything I could think of that could be a problem.

I can leave my computer on all day and night, watch videos or movies, listen to music or surf the internet for as long as I please. Then as soon as I fire up a game, 10-15 mins in, comp shuts off yet again.

So I'm thinking its the graphics card, or possibly the ram. I've got two sticks, so maybe one of them is bad. That would also explain why I can play Skyrim for as long as I please, because it only uses 2gigs of ram, ever, period.

That theory also fits along the lines of me playing for as much as I wanted to up until lately....maybe I burned one up?

it was over-heating -_-

last time it shut off I pulled off the cover and stuck my hand in to feel of the RAM, and I felt a fairly large amount of heat coming off the graphics card. turns out, when the latest version of directx installed, somehow it changed the setting on the fan built into it.

I have a program now where I can set the fan speed manually...and since I've done so, I haven't had a single crash.

Where did my one post go about my friend's ex and all that? o.o

Anyway, going to see The Adventures of Tintin tomorrow, and going to pick up Star Wars: The Old Republic (going to be my legit first MMO that I'll pay monthly for). Looks very promising imo. The way the characters move (and camera positions), and the dialog chooser wheel looks very similar to Mass Effect.
