Hey, Codex fans!
I babysit often for Chris Anderson, who is the editor-in-chief of Wired magazine (as well as avid Halo fan). A few weeks ago, I showed him The Codex, and he was an insant fan. Last thursday, he gave a speech in Hollywood to many of the top directors, producers, movie executives, and studio heads in the world. The topic was the growing world of amateur movies of all sorts on the internet. In addition to things like Star Wars fanfilms, one of his examples was machinima. He specifically talked about The Codex, and showed the second half of episode 18 (the speeches)! The audience was understandably extremely impressed. So there you have it. The Codex has gone to hollywood!

Wow! Thats really awesome, Gheo, thanks! Is there a video or a transcript we can see of the event? I'd be interested to see what he said specifically.

I'm not sure if there's a transcript or anything like that, but I'll ask Chris. In searching for one, though, I stumbled upon his review of The Codex posted on his blog, here.

I'm speechless. That's the most amazing thing anyone has said about the series, and I have to say, it's really very exciting.

I've emailed Bungie and asked them to consider asking Alex to direct the Halo Movie. Doubt they'll even read it though.

So, I don't know if you guys noticed, but go to the Press page and go to the link for the presentation Chris gave-- there's a video! I haven't watched it yet (because I'm at school), but just at a glance it seems to be the full presentation, so now you can see just what he said!

thanks for the heads up

I would love to download the video, but then i noticed the size (96mb) *ouch*

My CAP for the month is dawning, so i might get it after i paid the bill (Have a CAP of 30GIGs suks but wot can u do, apart from a better ISP (which atm there isn't ))

But all this Publicity is great!! Good work, even after 2(?) months after the series has finished releasing episodes, people are still finding us and downloading the (In my opion) best Halo Machinima on the net (Side note: Whats taking u guys so long to find this place?) You guys really do have staying power...

That was a huge hint to make season 2.. But no presure
