Looks fine I guess? I mean, most people are pretty interested in the multiplayer which they did not show during the M$ press conference and honestly, I'm only concerned about the PC version anyway. I'm sure the campaign/single player will be fine but nothing revolutionary, that's not what it should be about anyway.

Multiplayer demo during EA conference, that was SICK. I like that they brought back commander mode similar to what we had in BF2142

Honestly, I may buy this just for the commander mode. It just looks fun.

Seeing a lot of posts on reddit about blowing up sky scrappers. Any news/info on just how detailed/like Red Faction Guerilla the destructible environment is?

On the map they've shown so far one of the big skyscrapers in the middle of the map can be destroyed if you take out the four support columns in the basement. So nothing that crazy.

I watched the multiplayer trailer yesterday. It grinded my gears like no other. Not the actual game, but how scripted it was. No way in hell is ANY multiplayer game like that. People don't form squads and operate as teams, they sure as hell don't get lucky and survive for that long without even getting shot (from what I recall), and that whole helicopter in the building and tank under the tunnel was way too convenient to ever happen in a normal game.

I know that these things do happen, but 99% of the games I play, everyone is running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. Not using team work, or tactics.

/rage. All in all, I might get it, but I really don't see the big deal in Battlefield and CoD. I'm actually kinda disappointed it looked so similar to Battlefield 3. Graphics wise, as well as gameplay.

Edit: And can someone explain to me what Commander mode is?

You tell people what to do and hope they do it.

I think the people that are best at that are people with actual military strategy experience, experienced commanders from BF2142 and BF2 and just natural leaders with good insight.

Also helps, no doubt, to be playing with people you know rather than random twelve year olds or something like that.

Interesting. A game came out for the PC called Nuclear Dawn that had that. Except the commander was in an RTS view, and placed buildings to unlock new weapons and such for the troops. And then to get resources, your troops (other players in First Person) had to go capture and hold points. It's fun, but almost no one plays it anymore. There's only 2-3 active servers at any given time.

It actually sounds exactly what BF4 needs. Coordination is probably my biggest concern in those games.
