I was incredibly certain there was a thread about this...and I was also certain our TV thread was more than three pages big. Either way...

24. Finished early this year, sadly, permanently. Out of the hell of it, I started rewatching the series. I had forgotten how old the show was (What with the writers strike session not showing a season at all...which was worth it), and how many characters this show has gone through. I remember me and Geo talking about it a while ago (not long after it finished), but I have no idea if anyone else watched, or even liked, 24.

It is a real shame that Fox said they were going to Axe it when the 24-team was most of the way through filming.

I think they would have wanted to do a mega last series to give it a good send off but they had to make do with what they had.
The ending of the final series was fantastic though. Even thought it leaves many questions unanswered... it was one of those that worked either way.

Hopefully getting the final boxset when it's out. Then me and some friends are going to host a 24 night. Yup! 18 hours of non-stop final-series 24! wink.gif Start to end.

I'm hoping that don't include season 6, and call it 24: The Week Boxset.

But agreed, they should have made one final season that tied up most of the remaining strings, and probably have Jack die, or do something similar to the end of season 4.

The redemption film was quite good though as a one off/filler.

Some people thought it was rubbish but I really liked it. happy.gif

I thought Redemption was cool too, and it had Robert Carlyle in it! He was awesome!

I also liked how well it connected with season 7.

I loved 24 initially, but after several seasons it started to follow a pretty predictable pattern. That's the death knell for a show of its type.

Hence why there was season 7 and 8, the most original ones since the first season. Pure awesome.

I still found them predictable.
