So, this is one tv show I'm actually looking forward too. It airs on AMC in October.

Some of you may know it's based on a comic book (I think).

Spoilers A'hoy!

I got into the comic, but eventually fell out of it mainly because I couldn't find any more copies after the ninth one. I thought it had ended rather badly.

It's directed/written by Frank Darabont, who has never EVER disappointed me before (Granted, the end of The Mist was different than the book, but still awesomely depressing). I'm not sure how he's going to be himself with a zombie series, nor how long the series is going to run for. Either way though, it SHOULD kick some srs ass.

woot woot! Almost 1 week away! biggrin.gif

Just seen a comercial for it. Looks action packed (makes me wonder if their going to tone down gore seeing as how it's a TV series. That would suck. *shoots zombie in head* *dust comes out other side* sad.gif)

How many zombie-related films/programmes are there with the word 'dead' in now. blink.gif
Originality appears to have gone out the window a bit when it comes to naming things.

Though as it's a TV series for a change... I'll let it off and show some interest wink.gif

lol. Well, if it doesn't have "dead" in it, people will think it's not zombie related tongue.gif.

Comic/Movie Character Comparison. Some do look a lot alike.

Resident Evil, Dawn Of The....oh wait....dammit!

Srsly though, the RE movies is the only anything to do with zombies that doesn'y have dead in it (Anyone call 28 Days Later a zombie movie and you will die).

Well. Almost zombies lol. Just missing the being dead and rising back up, and the shot to the head to only kill them, and the bitting to turn people into one of them, and . . .

Guess they're not like zombies at all lol tongue.gif

Actually, that's pretty much the only similarity. Although the virus thing makes more sense in the 28 movies than most zombie movies.

idk. Every zombie (and zombie-ish) movie I've seen, they bite humans and then said human turns into zombie.

.. Or get ripped to shreds.

Best zombie movie of all time - Shaun of the Dead wink.gif
And yes it's an "OMG THE DEAD WORD IN THE TITLE AGAIN" but as it's a parody on other zombie-films, I let it off tongue.gif

SHaun of the Dead was a romantic comedy....with zombies. It was good, but watched it way too much in a short mount of time, now can't watch it. I think my favourite zombie movie will always be Zombies on a Plane: Flight of the Living Dead. Grenades and epic gunfights on a plane in the air with zombies!

Ah Gewd! There is is again! Living dead!

Shaun of the Dead was a kind of romantic comedy but was primarily a spoof of some zombie-like films.
Main two being Dawn of the dead and 28 Days Later

It's a spoof on Night of the Living Dead, like the first part was from Snakes On A Plane.

How was Shaun like 28 Days Later?

I didn't say it was like it wink.gif
At the end it is mention that the outbreak was believed to be caused by monkeys like in 28 Days. It's only mentioned for a second though, but it makes reference still.

"And the Rumor that the outbreak was caused by rage-infected monkeys was dismissed as total BS." or something like that.

How is it not a zombie movie? If your definition of a 'zombie' is a mindless, shuffling husk, Dawn of the Dead should be totally ruled out as a zombie film as well.
