What do you think about a Music section for Vox Populi?

I have a couple of albums that I will definitely add reviews too, what should the average length be for a Music review?

Although I probably wouldn't review anything, I'd definitely like to see a section for it.

The same length as a normal review. Thing with an album is that you can then do a review for each song, compare it to the bands other albums, other genres, which ones are best for rawking too, etc.

Good point! I see, awesome, now I can go and write a fairly decently long review then for a song... wink.gif

I'll do a few but I think my musical interests are different to what most here will appreciate.

Same here. I did try and actually do a review, but I realized I have such little talent in the form of anything musical, and my knowledgte of instruments is like my knowledge to cars, which is like my knowledge of ancient...Buddhism....city...knowledge. Basically, I found it pretty hard without simply saying "I like this song, I hate this song. But album/band rawk sawks.". Personally, I'll be sticking with games/movies/books (eventually), but if I ever find the right album, I'll definitely put a music one up.

On a side note, Trent...you've only got about 59 posts. I was pretty certain you've been on/around a hell of a lot longer than me.

Oh do list some names for me! smile.gif

This will more than likely be common to a lot of people here though, and inheritly, that's what should make the music section great. Hearing of news bands and being introduced to different styles of music will hopefully prove the strong point of the music reviewers section. Besides; I'd say listening to some songs or an album, less of a task than having to sit through an entire movie or read a whole book, etc, to chase up on a fellow members review, no?

Anywho, I love this idea and shall get writing through this week on a number of my favourite bands (no guesses who will be up first, for those who know my musical taste, I'm sure! wink.gif )

I only officially joined he community this year but I have been following the Codex Series and Edgworks Entertainment for a few years now. I never ha da reason to create an account until Vox Populi was launched. Which I hope to find the time to start writing for again. (Life is a full time job. smile.gif )

not sure if this is intentional but the Vox Archive doesn't include any music reviews yet.

The Archive also seems to be missing multiple Television Reviews as well.
