It doesn't look bad, but it doesn't look good. I guess they're having a special preview on GameTrailers TV tonight, though.

Remember the Red Vs Blue Reconstruction DVD? There was a short animation thingy there with Simmins, Church and Grif. It was pure awesome...and it was funny.

Does Halo really deserve this much attention?

It's basically Microsoft jerking off with Halo wrapped around it's gargantuan woody.

<<

>>

Personally, I like Halo for it's universe. Gameplay wise, CE was pretty damn great. H2 had many improvements, but left a lot of good stuff on the floor (Pistol, lack of any good assault weapon, ending). H3 just felt like H2 with better graphics, a worse voice actors for Keyes and Truth, and adding in a few things that H2 were missing...but then by making them slightly more disappointing to their originals (pistol, assault weapon, ending, Johnson's death). The main thing that really got Halo big was it's multiplayer, and how it was the first game series for console (Because f**k paying a grand every couple of years just to play games online) that was FPS, as well as a smooth one, and not having to switch to different slots to simply beat someone over the head with a weapon, or toss a grenade. Yes, I'm looking at you Half-Life.

The other thing that got it was that a lot of money went into Marketing the game, and a lot of tweens saw the ads and are to this day still in that nostalgic state of having gotten the game at midnight at the local gamestore.

I was in that state during H2 and it's release, up to a week or two afterwards. I wasn't much anticipating H3, aside from Forge and the idea of Saved Film...but that was it. I no longer fall into that marketing trick, and simply wait for a game to come out and THEN see if it's worth paying twice as much as it technically should be in NZ. Both Rock Band and all Guitar Heroes are nearly a full twice as much as they normally are in anywhere else. Like Yahtzee said, maybe it's just the 'Better Beaches' tax.

In short, no. Halo doesn't deserve this much attention, but it's getting it just because it is.

But Animatrix was actually kind of cool, and being in a computer program allowed for the different perceptions and so forth. With halo...you can't really show it different aside from the animation itself. You're still gonna have super soldiers fighting aliens...unless one of the movies is shown through the eyes of an AI, like all the Cortana scenes in First Strike, or Ghosts Of Onyx. That would be trippy.

His visor looks massive.

Otherwise, it looks cool. Like I'm forced to say about so many things, as long as you don't expect it to cure global poverty, you might actually enjoy it just a little bit.

Appreciate it for what it is, don't hate it for what it isn't.

So.

You all ready to see Cortana with immensely large mammary's and unpredictable booby physics?

Missed my point. Whats a popular video method accepted by the gaming community? Anime/CGI. How can we make money fast? Make Anime based on Games.

And there is a ton of stuff you can show from the Halo Universe! Major Battles listed in the Halo timeline from either the Human or Covenant point of view. The human history leading the development of the SPARTAN Project. Any of the wars that lead to the Covenant forming. Storys of AI... go on on and on. If anything Matrix is TINY compared to the history that can be used for Halo storys... 500+years in fact....

I say go nut, more Halo the better. NOW, to go read my Halo Graphic Novel again!

I'm under the assumption that this whole thing will be developed by American artists.

If it is, I'm not watching it.

Most American anime stuff is horrible. The artists try to make people look normal. And they fail at it. Miserably.

I'm confused. America only has cartoons. America can't make Anime....because Anime is Japanese. Like US comics. They're called comics, not manga. Arguably, there is no real difference aside from the artists style, but if I'm going off what you said, that makes Spongebob American Anime.

That, or I'm totally (And more likely) wrong, but can't be assed finding out.

I was right. It's only anime if it's Japanese. Avatar is simply counted as Cartoon.
